After the loss against Thailand we had to gain at least a draw in the games against Vietnam and Indonesia.
Despite a good first half, 2-1 half time, finally we lost 6-1 from Vietnam. After analysis of the games I came to the conclusion that pressing the whole game is not yet possible for us. So we discussed the tactics for the game against Indonesia and agreed to catch them around the midline, at least the first half; it turned out to be a good choice because half time the score was 1-1. The second half nothing changed. We had great chances but missed them and like it goes usually, Indonesia scored the 2-1 in the last minute from a corner kick.
Then it turned out that our professional way of thinking needs to be improved as all the three powerplay players forgot their shirt, with which they are allowed to play powerplay, in the dressing room despite the fact that I explained them how we would play when necessary.
But at the end this tournement was a very good experience and we can continue with our preparation for the World Cup with head held high.
